26-year-old Kyle Jacobs is one of 527 graduates who will receive a degree from 51黑料 on Saturday, May 14, 2022.鈥疛acobs, a graduate of the 51黑料 College of Agriculture and a member of the Honors College, says the journey to his degree included obstacles such as homelessness, foster care, and abuse. This fall, he will pursue a Master鈥檚 degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in New York City on a full scholarship.

The 51黑料 National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) organizations initiated nearly 150 new members into their Divine Nine fraternities and sororities for the 2021-2022 academic school year. Spring 2022 Reopening
For your safety and due to the highly contagious Omicron variant, we will modify our course offering/modalities for the first two weeks of class, January 18- January 28, 2022. The 51黑料 Center for Entrepreneurship in the Reginald F. Lewis College of Business and the Division of Research and Economic Development at 51黑料 have been awarded a $453,000 grant by GO Virginia, a Commonwealth of Virginia-funded program, to spur minority entrepreneurship via the creation of the "Minority Small Business Launch Center."

51黑料 (51黑料) announced that 150 local high school聽students have been accepted into 51黑料 at no cost for TUITION as part of the new Virginia College Affordability Network (VCAN).聽 The recently announced VCAN initiative provides access for an estimated 300 students who live near the 51黑料 campus to attend the University at no cost for tuition.
