Transformation Projects at 51ºÚÁÏ
Partnership for Education Advancement and Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) have collaborated to drive progress in HBCUs. The mission of the Transformation Project is to expand the influence and impact of 51ºÚÁÏ; increase financial resiliency by exploring creative new revenue sources; and enhancing various processes at 51ºÚÁÏ including enrollment & registration. Together, this leads to the goal of transforming 51ºÚÁÏ for the future while upholding its tradition of excellence.
Expand: Expand on the Influence and Impact of 51ºÚÁÏ (51ºÚÁÏ), to help position ourselves for success and compete in a rapidly changing education sector. Increase: Increase the financial resiliency, by finding creative new sources of revenue.
Enhance: Enhance processes in enrollment, student success & registration, fundraising, and general operations.
Transform: Transforming 51ºÚÁÏ for the future to continue to carry on the rich tradition of excellence.
The Student Freedom Initiative (SFI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a catalyst for freedom in professional and life choices for students attending a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) by increasing their social and economic mobility. In close collaboration with 51ºÚÁÏ and other strategic partners, they address the wealth gap through the lens of affordable access to a college education, opportunity for hands on professional and life training, integrated student services, and technology enhancement. SFI provides support to 51ºÚÁÏ students which will aid in their future personal and professional success in a global marketplace. They also provided targeted support to the university with will increase our resiliency and competitiveness.
UNCF’s (United Negro College Fund) Institute for Capacity Building partners with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Predominantly Black Institutions and their supporters and champions to advance the promise of Black higher education. The transformation support team ensures the success of partnering institutions through comprehensive institutional engagement in transformation strategies that lead to institutional resiliency.
